The fact the kid isn't licensed or registered is irrelevent IMO. Although if I was the dogs owner I might just tell the dad his kid needs to be more careful and what about my poor dog.

Of course its relevant, tell the brat to claim off his insurance.

I sat at some upcountry "sorry shop" as the claimants came round to claim from the 12 year old kid that had ploughed his "click" into the back fender of a Volvo.

Typical upcountry, no money to pay.

No problemo, the "motorcyle ruffians" helped themselves to the whisky and cigarettes in the store to recover the damages.

Polite lads they were, asked, do you guys want any more drink?

No problemo was the answer, as the good motorcyle lads walked off with about 10k baht worth of stock.

Sorry shop no stock, no problem just walk 200 yards down the road to another.

No money will change hands on this, its all about face.

My girl is well educated and put herself through school to a masters degree level.

What has the education of your GF to do with the story?? Why is it that nearly every post is pre fixed with this on here? Short hand for "my gf isnt an ex hooker so dont judge but listen to this story"??

The first bloke to prefix a post with "I`m a retired sex pat shacked up with a ex hooker in Issan" gets a pint from me laugh.png

I have often wondered the same thing. If you read Thai Visa posts, you would think every single

member is married to a Thai/Chinese college graduate from a hiso family . And having been here a very long time, I know that is far from the truth... In fact if I were a betting man, I would guess

that of the posters here on TV, about 60 % are married to former bar girls....

Regarding the dog story, the only danger might be from the owner falling down laughing when

he hears a demand for money....

Several posts have been removed for 'flaming' others quoting the flaming have been edited.

What a ridiculous job you have done.

I posted a real story.

It is then flamed to death

I then post the outcome of the story.

And you delete my post.

But you take care to leave the poisonous posts of ATF and the other trolls.

Lock the thread it has no point now.

And also cancel my membership.

Thai Visa has degenerated into a worthless resource due to ham fisted moderation.

You certainly know how to win friends and influence people. We've never heard a story about a dog and motorcycle before. How would you like your membership fee re-funded Sir?

Do you live under a lemon tree, as you seem somewhat bitter?

Your kidding right

I`m a retired sex pat shacked up with a ex hooker in Issan Lamphun, If any of my dogs bought down a bike regardless of rego or license I would feel obligated to pay up. My fault, they should be kept tied up if they make a habit of chasing bikes. Cant say too much though, used to like chasing bikes myself. Now where's my pint?

If you can explain in Thai legal law how i am implicated, i am happy to hear your reasons.

I'm sorry; there seems to be a misunderstanding. My replies in this thread were incidental not on a point of law, but on aspects of political philosophy.

I was alluding to the idea of the Good Life (eudaimonia) and that this seems to involve active individuals who to some degree embrace their contextual entwinement. Hence I was asking what kind of life it would be, where one somehow would never get involved in anything.

All the best

Good we agree on something anyway thumbsup.gif Id probably put it a notch higher than 60% if the truth be told.

Can we make it a double of agreements with my theory that the pro Suthep/yellow/coup posters invariably hail from that 60%? The real OTT posters almost always tend to be "shacked up in Issan with an ex hooker." My theory is they are surrounded by red shirts, so in an effort to distiniguish themselves from the natives that are financially rogering them daily they "back the other horse?" Those working in BKK, seeing the economy go tits up over the last 8 months (and continuing to struggle) are a bit more hesitant.

Didn't realise it was a political philosophy issue. I'll remember that next time. rolleyes.gif

and dont forget even though he is 20 years older then his bargirl wife, he looks 10 years younger and isnt one of those old, fat, smelly men, and how all his friends are jealous of him

even though he makes minimum wage or is on a minimal pension

I was away for 2 weeks....My MIL came over to feed our 2 dogs and one attacked her....who do I pay? her or the Dog.....TRUE STORY

Not sure about the double agreement. I was trying to be kind on the 60% number, you are right I actually believe it to be higher. Regarding the political viewpoint of these 60 % , hard to say. I would guess they would would be sticking to the party line in the red shirt village of Nakorn Nowhere. I would find it hard to believe that a farang living in Bangkok or Pattaya would be cranking out Thaksin defense posts....

"Financially rogering them daily ..." ? You cracked me up that turn of phrase. cheesy.gif

Just say the boy on the bike ran into my dog.

...My MIL came over to feed our 2 dogs and one attacked her...

Have you asked her whether she kicked the dog first?
