I had same problem..got a cleaner in and she used a small blue and white jar called ezy clean 40baht try supermarkets. It's a paste, she covered the door and left it for 30min and used steel wool to clean came out like new. As all glass differs if that doesn't work a new door is the go. After the money you have spent you could have replaced it 3 times over.

Steel wool doesn't scratch it.

Any time you use an abrasive and elbow grease to clean glass, you run the risk of scratching it. The steel wool may not scratch it, but particles of the stuff you're trying to get rid of may be hard enough to scratch the glass.

And here in Asia, where counterfeit and copycat products abound, that "3M" scouring pad may actually be a "3N" brand, and it may have sand particles as the abrasive.

Any idea where to buy steel wool in Phuket? I'd like to do some very light sanding on finished wood.

Thx

I've used a mixture of 50% washing up liquid and 50% white vinegar in the past. Works ok. The bicarb and white vinegar was next on the list to try. I've got the chemical stuff in the small white bottle but avoided using up to now given what it is.

Might have a look at that Mr Muscle stuff. Not seen that one. Seen dozens of others mind. All having one thing in common. Totally crap for cleaning bathrooms etc. Normally I use Jif Cream Cleaner, never seen it here, bring it in from Malaysia when I go.

The only thing that works once your shower cubic is staine is polishing it by machine.

In hardware stores they sell a disk that fits on an electric grinder and is made of all small hairs compressed together. Difficult to explain the looks, but look at a white or light grey colored disk of about 2 cm thick. Costs between 20 and 80 Baht depending on size and manufacturer.

It works wonders and doesn't make scratches on the glass surface. Applying WD40 on the surface speeds up the process.
