Details of my wealth are in a last will and testiment in Thailand. My other assetts are in a uk will for my son, at the moment.

My wife knows full well the state of my bank accounts and has ATM cards for all. She also works and has her own accounts. Which I have no access to. Although I am pretty sure her accounts don't match mine.

I think we see a difference of relationship in these responses. If I were in a shorter-term physical relationship with my woman, I would not disclose my finances. If I were in a longer-term emotional relationship, I would disclose my finances. It seems a matter of trust--and yes, trust can be misplaced.

Probably a lot of problems stem from Mr. Newbie Farang inflating, exagerating his wealth either explicitly or implicitly when trying to impress/snare his potential darling/lady.

Then when reality hits the fan, connubial bliss could be replaced by metal detectors and a resident food-taster as "until death do you part" sounds increasingly imminent and ominous.

Being honest or forthcoming are two totally different things. The biggest mistake i made was being forthcoming about my income to my significant other. Oop's

If i die tomorrow my money goes to my children or immediate family. Make sure to have a will in place or the attorneys will get it all!!!

It's easy being honest if all you have is a Social Security check deposited monthly.
