Hi,

I came back to Thailand a few days ago on a re-entry permit, but my retirement visa is only valid for another 50 days.

So, when I get a new retirement visa after the 50 days, when do I have to do the 90 day report?

Does it count from the day of my re-entry or from the day, when I received my new visa?

My guess is the clock re starts when your extended retirement visa is awarded.

Extending your visa doesn't exist, one does extend his/hers permission to stay.

Reporting for 90 consecutive days in the Kingdom is not integrated in extending the permission to stay, and has to be done separately.

Only the first extension of stay counts as a 90 day report.

The OP will need to make a report 90 days from the date of entry.

There are a few offices that will have you do a new report when you a apply for a new extension of stay to reset it the date so that it matches the date your extension ends. My immigration office reset my report date that would of been after my extension is due to the same date as my extension when my wife did my last report.

Question, you use an Agent for doing your 90 Day reports ? I let my wife do it (but considering, she is more expensive then an Agent I guess )

I think he meant immigration officer not agent. Not sure an agent could change it.

When your current extension of stay runs out in 50 days your new extension will start on that day, so reporting is 90 days after that.

Not correct according to the rules. The extension does not count as a report. They are separate requirements.

Many people have found out about it the hard way when they paid a 2000 baht fine for late reporting.
