What documents are required/recommended Non-B

Featured Replies

Sorry, I mean non-b...

I asked this a couple months back, and as things seem to change so much I figured I would ask again.

I work for a very small school who has actually never done this before. I have found some samples from a teacher friend for the school to model theirs after. I believe she had "extra" paperwork in there (I guess the more the better).

*The thing I'm quite sure I need in addition to the obvious (copies of passport etc..)

**Invitation from the school

**Contract

Signed and with school stamp.

Anything else?

-- In my friend's paperwork there was something called "Form of Employment Certification". Is this required? Or is this for the work permit? If the school needs to supply it for the non-o, where do they obtain a blank copy to fill out?

-- Do I need an invitation from the MOE? Last I asked this a couple months ago, people said no... My friend just went to do this a month or so back and I do not believe she had one.

Regards,

Thanks for the help.

Bump...

I'm assuming there are some teachers here. Anyone know the answers to this?

The "invitation". Does that come from MOE? Is MOE the district office...? Or is that division in BKK?

Very confused here.

What exactly do I need when going for the Non-B. Regards

Okay. I believe I am one step closer to figuring this out...

I need Invitation from school, Invitation from district office and contract. Is this correct?

Hi HappySanook, I'm going to move this to the visa section of the forums, you'll likely get a better reply there (As there are a lot of very well informed regulars there, here I could help but it's been a while since I did my initial Non-B, so might forget some of the documents etc).

Hmm... I'm guessing teachers would be far more likely to know than the average TVer. But you are the mod. Doesn't seem to get an answer regardless of where it is. I figured it's a fairly straightforward question.

Unfortunately this school is small and has never done it before. Previously I relied mostly on what the school provided me with, but that was several years back.

For teachers there is no need to already apply for the WP.

The letter from the MOE depends on where you apply for the WP. Normally it is not needed outside Bangkok.

The district office is the educational area office, you will need a letter from them next to the letter from the school. The same goes when actually applying for the WP and when you go for your extension of stay at immigration.

I would say

- letter from school

- letter educational office

- contract (signed and well)

- copy of ID-card school director

Thanks Mario. This is what I have lined up. Good to have it somewhat confirmed. Regards.

on a bad hair day; they will ask to see your Diploma and Transcripts. WP will play into it, as well.

Are you teaching in the government school?

If you're teaching in the government school these are the requirements:

1. Letter from the District

2. Letter from School Director

3. Copy of Contract

4. Copy of passport (photo page and visa page)

5. Copy of Employment Certificate

6. Copy of Diploma and Transcript

7. Copy of id card of School Director

8. Copy of promotion documents of School Director.
