CANCELED stamp on non-o single entry visa?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Been looking all over the site and the web to figure out what is going on with my visa, but to no avail. I have a Thai wife and so have been getting non-immigration o visas. So I just got back from my 3rd trip to Penang to get a new 90 day single entry visa and noticed it is stamped "Canceled" over it. Every visa before hand was stamped USED. Are they telling me to go to another emmbassy next time? or What's the deal? Should I be concerned about this? he also stamped me with the "permitted to stay until.." stamp so so no immediate problem I presume.. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Who stamped it cancelled? I presume immigration as you talk about a permission to stay stamp. The stamp simply tells you that the visa has been used and cannot be used again. No big deal.

Strange change of wording from USED to Cancelled (?).

But as it is a single entry and there were no other complaints/reminder by the officer, I would also guess its just a change of words.

Used would have been better, but as he was stamped in and the permission to stay was not cancelled there should not be any problem.

Mine wasn't stamped at all. ermm.gif.pagespeed.ce.7f2Kr9k8HC.png

Thanks. Cool, the immigration guy seemed a little slow and awkward like he might be new or something.

Sayonarax, you should probably get your visa stamped if you're already in Thailand..
