In the past when arriving at airport immigration, I always dressed neat and conservative, spoke politely in Thai to the officer, and kept a low profile.

I am retired, independently wealthy, but under 50 years of age and have had a number of back to back multiple entry tourist visas.

Now it would seem I have suddenly become an outlaw in the eyes of immigration and am reassessing how I should present myself the next time around.

Given that I now have a better chance of being stamped in if I am a GENUINE tourist. My current line of thought is that I will:

1. Drink heavily on the plane and ensure I am hopelessly drunk arriving

2. Wear cargo pants, one of those hats with the beer cans on it and the hose running down to my mouth, and a "no I don't want a F...ING Tuk Tuk, Taxi, Massage, etc wife basher t-shirt. Socks with sandals is compulsory footwear.

3. Speak only in English with the officer and as loud and as obtrusively as possible

4. Ask the officer how to get to Soi Cowboy and how much I should pay for a girl who doesn't already have HIV

5. Have a wad of sweaty US dollars visible at all times

From what I am reading on other threads, the above approach would give me a better chance of being stamped in compared to my previous behaviour.

Oh and of course, I should not mention that I own 4 motorbikes, two cars, have two properties, don't drink, smoke or take drugs, donate blood regularly, and take good care of my Thai partner.

When the officer asks me the purpose of my visit, I will just answer to get sh_t faced and have unprotected sex with prostitues.

What are your tips for presenting at immigration now that a VALID and LEGALLY obtained tourist visa is no guarantee of being stamped in?
