I was told that we have to fill up forms to transfer stamps from old passport to new passport.

I would like to ask two questions.

I have the "Extension of Stay for One year" stamp and also a "Multiple Re-Entry stamp"

First question : Do I need to fill up two sets of form - meaning one for Extension of Stay and one form.

for Re-Entry Permit.

Second question : If so, I have to go to two counters to do so in Cheang Wattana ?

Please kindly advice.

Thanking you all in advance

I will be facing the same problem shortly, but not particularly worried as the immigration people are always helpful these days and will see you right. Just go along and everything should be pretty painless.

You just have to fill in one form. http://immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/res_transferstamp.pdf

I believe there is a counter just for stamp transfers.

You will need a letter from your embassy confirming you got a new passport to do the transfer at CW.

"You will need a letter from your embassy confirming you got a new passport to do the transfer at CW."

And photocopies of entry stamp, re-entry stamp, extension stamps, ID page, visa that you used to enter the country, departure card ... from old passport and the ID page from new passport.

And remember if you have a Bank account or anything else for which you use your passport as identity, you need to inform them of the change in passport.
