Paying money into UK bank accounts

Featured Replies

How can you pay into a UK current account whilst in Thailand?

Is there a branch of some bank where you can deposit cash?

Or can you pay in/transfer from a Thai Savings account?

Without incurring large fees?

MOVED TO BANKING

You can transfer from a Thai savings account to a UK bank but it is not straightforward. I am with TMB and they were quite awkward and it cost me 1600 baht.

The easiest solution is send the funds, Western Union or Moneygram, to someone you trust and get them to pay in for you. Do not think about sending a cheque as the UK bank may ask for counter signature, many banks will only accept cash deposits from a third party.

Go to your Thai bank and request a SWIFT transfer If you ask them they'll tell you how much it costs.

Do you pay for a purchase to a seller in the UK? Just go to any bank preferably not a sub-branch and send by SWIFT. The fees will be around 1,200-1,600Baht no matter how much money you send and the receiver will receive a full amount you send.

Another way is to open a UK Paypal or Skrill account and add funds to it then you can withdraw your money to your UK bank account then transfer funds to your seller account.
