I am currently in Thailand on a double entry tourist visa which allows me to stay until August 17th.

I fly out to the UK mid Sept so purposely didn't apply for a triple entry as assumed I could just re-enter for a month on the 30 day visa exemption.

With the current changes, I am now worried that this may not be possible, though I haven't had any 30 day visa exemptions in my passport for years as have always been here for long periods on legitimate visas.

I read you are allowed just 1 free entry now, but wonder if it's straight on the back of a used tourist visa would cause problems....

I realise noone has a crystal ball but thoughts please?

Anyway, you should not have any problem. Bring exit ticket printout and Bt 10,000 in cash, just as a precaution.

You are not doing a back-to-back border run, what immigration has started to call "out-in visa run", and therefore you are not being targeted by the newly announced crackdown.
