Suvarnabhumi beer exception at 7-11

Featured Replies

I don't know why I never noticed but the 7-11 at Suvarnabhumi sells alcohol after 12:00...obviously this is some sort of special license....is this just for this airport or is it any major thai airport?

All 7-11's in Thailand sell alcohol (except the ones in hospitals).

Or the ones in gas stations...no my point was that most of these 7's stop alcohol sales after 12:00 but in suvarnabhumi, it seems to be 24/7

I believe you mean 12.00 Midnight. All shops in Pattaya sell booze 24/7. Only exception is Central I believe. It was one of Thaksin's stupid laws.

Sorry, but you are wrong. I got refused at 7/11 last Tuesday. Come back after 5pm they said.

Dunno about the airports.

Sorry but that is grossly incorrect. All the bigger stores/supermarkets in Pattaya will not serve between 2 and 5pm. Most even have signs up. I have been at tills at 4.55pm and had to wait before they would ring it up.

Yes lots of smaller store may still serve but not all.

The only exception I think is if you are buying over 10litres at a time.

Just about everything you said

is wrong.

The 7's and family mart near me just

off 3rd road have notices on the fridge clearly showing the times when you can buy alcohol.

Villa and Best sell when they are open. Unless there has been a change recently all the 7/11's etc sell although they do have signs.

Completely wrong. None of them will sell any alcohol between 2400 to 1100 and again from 1400 to 1700. This law has been in place for 10yrs. Exception is when you purchase over 10 Ltrs which is not considered as retail sale. Many small mom and pop shops may flout the law and sell it but not 7-11's, Villa etc

Any Villa sells booze when it is open. All Sevens sell booze in Pattaya. You are wrong or maybe they don't like you.

I never have a problem except on religious holidays.
