infinity11
Hello. Are there any of these people or groups in pattaya? I'd like to hang out with them, chat, maybe even meditate together. It is NOT even important if they are Buddhists, but interested in being a better person or being DEEP thinkers is enough. Sense of humor and ability to laugh at oneself even better. Thanks. Sorry if this is a repost, i can not find the original.

gk10002000
I have chatted briefly via my thai girlfriend to some monks. I suggest you take one with you to one of the temples and see if they are willing to engage I conversation. Here in the USA I have talked to a few of the local Thai monks. The younger one was not unexpectedly shy about speaking English because he was not good at it, but that's OK. I know a lot of the travel books say they are eager to talk, but I think that is an over statement. As with anything else, some are more approachable than others.
