hazman
If that's true I won't be flying with Thai smile anymore the only reason I've flown with them before is that they flew out of swampy. Issangeorge
I far rather fly into Don Muang than swampy any day. Sent from my i-mobile IQ 6 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

NiwPix
I just read the article you mentioned. My best guess is that they will have Thai Smile at Don Mueang and Thai Airways at Suvarnabhumi. I went on the Thai airways website and searched for a random flight in November and found flights from Suvarnabhumi to Ubon. However, with Thai Smile I was also only able to find a flight from Suvarnabhumi to Ubon. Either it is not confirmed yet or they didn't update the website yet ( which I would doubt ).
KhunBENQ
Multiple threads have sprung up now. Yes its true and a mess! Seven day advance announcement! Starting Aug 8 three flights going to DMK. Only two (!) remaining TG flights to Suvarnabhumi. See here e.g.: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/747988-khon-kaen-flights-disaster/ Edited August 3, 2014 by KhunBENQ
onionluke
I have tickets with Thai Airways Hong Kong to Bangkok with an onward flight to Ubon 9th August . The schedule will be very tight if I have to get over to DMK for the BK-UB leg of the journey . This change of airports will probably make flying Airasia , HK -DMK- UB the better choice in the future.
KhunBENQ
So far flights to Ubon are not affected! The sudden change from Aug 8th onwards affects flights from Khon Kaen and Chiang Mai (three in each direction). From October (26?) onward all Thai Smile flights (current flight numbers TG 2xxx) will go from/to Don Mueang with flight numbers TG 1xxx (or WE??). WE is the new airline code for Thai Smile. (thats the plan, but not yet visible in the online booking sites, what a mess) Edited August 3, 2014 by KhunBENQ
