Best option for tourist visa extension

Featured Replies

Hello

I'm very confused with the new visa rules and could use some advice  please.

I'm a UK citizen I finished working at my school in July.  Work permit was canceled and I left Thailand by air and got my 30 day tourist stamp which runs out on the 9th.  I will be leaving Thailand to go to Japan for a few months and then back to the UK. The lease on my apartment runs out on the 23rd and I would like a few more weeks to say my goodbyes and enjoy actually being a tourist.

I'm looking at getting an eVisa for Cambodia travelling by bus and spending a few days there then coming back to Thailand and getting the 14 day stamp for land border crossings.  I'm planning on heading out on the 7th and returning on the 10th, hopefully this will be before the stricter visa rules are enforced.  I'm slightly worried that the 30 day stamp and then trying to get a 14 day stamp will look like I'm doing back to back visa runs and I won't get back in to Thailand.

Thanks in advance

Jody

You will get 30 days at a border crossing since you are from the UK (G7 country rules).

You should not have a problem getting another visa exempt entry since you don't don't have a history of doing them plus you will be spending a few days out of the coutnry.
