August 5, 201411 yr I bought her 7 years ago brand new and for the first five spent a lot of time off road - Awesome truck - and she was brilliant carrier when building the house. Off road use now down to near zero since the baby son arrived on the scene. Since new I have continued with the Michelin Cross Terrain 265/70 R16 tyres as originally supplied. Unfortunately I have not been happy with the last 4 tyres, they seem to have worn very quickly. Can't find a reason for that - wondering if I have been shafted somehow with a dodgy batch. Now looking for a new tyre that is purely for the road. I have been looking at the Bridgestone Ecopia EP850. Any recommendations? With child on board the grip and safety are of paramount importance. Thanks for any sensible advice and recommendations.
August 5, 201411 yr Have you looked at the manufactured date on the sidewall of the replacement tyres ? Mich say 3 years on the shelf is OK but perhaps storage conditions might come into play..... I have the same year truck, same tyres, replaced two a while back which are OK. I am about to replace the other two with the same.

What price for the Michelins these days? With no load in the truck, what psi each tyre for you?

They say 29 all round, if you go much higher you will wear them out a lot quicker. Mine is a 4x4 and found (for me) 32 in the front is better, probably the extra weight at the front makes a difference.

I wish my missus would believe me when I tell her this, she insists on inflating them over 32psi.. I have given up trying to explain to her. totster

August 29, 201411 yr Author Just to close this off, I went for the Bridgestone Ecopia's in the end. 4x total cost 23,200. Let's see if it was a wise choice
