Re-entering Thailand with Double-Entry TR

Featured Replies

Due to having been on Dhamma retreat at upcountry monastery for quite some time, i have found out just recently about the new Immigration policies concerning visas.

Over the weekend, i will be going to Laos in order to return to Thailand to use my second-entry TR visa. In my passport, i already have a few TR visas/Visa-on-arrivals, however, coming from different consulates/embassies and ports of entry.

Would the Moderators advise me to stay a night in Laos before returning to Thailand? To take extra cash if needed? Or will i simply still be able to do,as before, an immediate u-turn back into Thailand? Port of re-entry will be either Mukdahan or Chong Mek.

Thank you in Advance

I see no reason why you should have a problem. The stricter enforcement that has been announced is for people with back-to-back visa-exempt border runs.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

Has helped put my mind back to ease. I got a bit of a fright..

Much Appreciated....

As far as I have read you should be OK. I will be making the same trip activating my second entry at the end of the month. Please keep us updated as to how you fared.
