Neeranam
What exactly has สิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ or sing sak sit got to do with Buddhism. Many Thai 'prayer' or 'chants' use this to ask for things. I've heard it translated as 'holy things' or 'sacred things'. Is it from Buddhism, animism, fetishism, Hinduism or what?
Brucenkhamen
According to Longdo it means holy thing, or sacred item, or holy object. I don't think acscribing holiness to an object is consistant with Buddhism however it's very common in Thailand.
