Tourist visa extension

Featured Replies

My flight was cancelled and rescheduled and I will be here for 32 days. Do I need to get an extension and where can I go to do so?

Thanks for any help

You don't appear to have a Tourist Visa.

Your nearest Immigration Office will give you 7 days to leave at a cost of 1,900 baht

Or you can take a chance and pay 1,000 Baht overstay fine at the airport.

over stay is charged 500B per day. you pay the fine at the airport.

If you are planning on coming back to thailand soon with this passport then you might wanna get a 7 day ext for 1900B to avoid getting in-out stamp. You can ask for advice at any immi office around thailand.

good luck

You can't go to immigration office, because they are closed for a long national holiday.

You will have to pay 1,000 Bt fine for overstay hen leaving. There is no consequence for that/

When is your flight leaving? Are you on overstay already?

If you actually have a tourist visa, it should allow you to stay 60 days.

If it's a visa exempt entry, since immigrations offices are closed, you'll just have to deal with it at the airport. You can show your airticket and explain you couldn't apply for an extension because of the holiday. At this point you really have no other choice and it won't be a big problem anyway ... except in the highly unlikely event you're stopped before getting to the airport by someone checking immigrations status.
