sbk
I believe Japan uses an entirely different bandwidth than anywhere else so the phones cannot be used outside of Japan. Why dont' you try posting in the internet/communication forum with the model number and see if anyone knows if it can even be used in Thailand? tayto
Hi allDo you know any shop that modify phone in Chiang rai ? Thanks . Depends on what you want. If your phone is triband , then no problem. Suggest you talk to some of the phone shop guys in Big C. Lots of them, there and a few inside that can understand English.

Khutan
A Quad Band that accepts a SIM chip would be the best chance. If the phone does not accept a SIM, then there is little chance of it working here.

Khutan
Best thing then put a SIM in and try it. Remember at least 2 of your 3 bands may be used for Japanese frequencies.
