torrow
Hi, I have a basic Kasikorn Bank ATM account with passbook. Can I transfer money into this account from my Barclays UK account? If so, how long does it take and would I be better using The Halifax?
CharlieH
As lomg as the details are accurate there should be no problem. Kasikorn are not the quickest, in my experience usyally 5 days. Bangkok bank however is generally next working day.
Expattaff1308
Check the Swift rates I think Halifax is cheaper. I transfer from Nationwide to Kasikorn cash arrives within 24 hours except for Bank Holidays.
KhaoNiaw
I've done Swift transfers from Barclays to Kasikorn. Usually arrives within 24 hours. I think it's a flat £25 fee. If you've got online banking with Barclays, you can do it with a few clicks.
54321
If its for a condo purchase or any very big purchase Barclays only allow you to transfer a maximum of £30,000 on line. The first time I used Barclays was fine, but the last time I used them they managed to get it wrong and following a series of lies they eventually settled out of court
torrow
Thanks for the replies. It's not big money. At the moment I draw from Barclays at an ATM in Thailand and the put money straight into Kasikorn, which is not a good system. I am looking to transfer straight into Kasicorn to avoid using the ATM

jamie2009
I want to transfer money from my UK First Direct account (HSBC) into my Kaiskorm Account for my Retirement Visa. £25 charge from my bank and various charges from Kasikorm. Is there a cheaper way, (apart from bringing cash from the UK) to do this ?
