Visa border runs

Featured Replies

I hope some one can clarify this for me , as here in England we have heard so much about changes to visa border runs.

1. I come to Thailand for up to 7 months a year. I usually get 3 x tourist entry which each one gives me 60 days.

2. when I have used the first entry , I usually get 30 day extension at Jomtien.

3.After the extension is used up I then do a daily border run which gave me the 2nd 60 days and same for the 3rd entry.

4. will I still be able to do the same as I have been doing.

Any help and response greatly appreciated

You should be ok. After the initial hassle, which is very usual with every crackdown, things seem to be going back to normal. Even long term overstayers are clearing their overstay without problems. Maybe make sure you have cash of 20000 baht when coming in, just in case.

No problem for tourist visa entries and 30 day extensions. The only changes are for visa exempt entries.
