Family left devastated by death of son in Thailand

Featured Replies

THE sudden death of a 21-year-old Llanelli man in Thailand has left his family and friends devastated.

An only child, Jack Davies had been out working and travelling in the south east Asia country for the past three years when he tragically passed away on Saturday, leaving his parents Christine and Jonathan Davies heartbroken.

Working on Phi Phi?

Working on Phi Phi?

Agreed, that does sound a bit odd.

I recently read in one of the online newspapers, but cannot remember which, that a young British guy died, I think it was on Phi Phi Island? After being stung by jelly fish. Probably this is the same guy.

Very sad, 21 years old, whole life ahead of him.

My heartfelt condolences go out to the family.

The jelly fish story was on Koh Pha Ngan and it was a 5 year old French boy.

That aside, this is also sad news indeed, RIP.

So it's either Deet, Jellyfish or some other pesticide. Any thoughts?

Google Jack Davies Phi Phi and see how long it takes for you to find an article from a Thai publication.

Ironically, he's standing in front of a missing person sign. 21, far too young for anyone to go. RIP.

Every worker on Phi Phi is a foreigner.

RIP, I wonder how he died, doesn't look like the trouble making type.

Last time I visited Phi Phi there were lots of farang run businesses and lots of Westerners working in them. Has that changed?
