Thailand Visa exemption extension

Featured Replies

Just wanted to know if anyone has successfully extended their Visa Exemption stamp whilst in Thailand.

I read that from 29/8 it's possible to get an extension of 30 days but haven't met anyone as yet who has knowledge of this.

My original 30 day exemption stamp ( Australian passport) runs out next week and I was looking flying to KL for 2 days ($130 AUD) but due to previously overstaying by 4 days in March, plus with the uncertainty over what time period out of the country is required to avoid suspicions of IO that I am not undertaking an airborne visa run, I am not sure the best way to extend my stay.

ps. I am not working here or undertaking any 'illegal' activities. I came to Thailand to apply for my china visa, but having caught up with a few mates the whole process of creating my chinese itinerary with flights in and out was unfortunately placed on the back burner, hence my current predicament

Since it started yesterday there are no reports about it yet, but that is the new regulation, 30 days extension is issued for Bt. 1,900 fee.

You need to visit your nearest immigration office citing immigration order of 29/8, reason 2.4

Is it possible now to extend "enter before date" of 2 entry tr visa or this just extesion of stay?

Permissions to stay are extended, not the validity of the visa.
