Overstay 1 day

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am holding a Non Immigrant ED Visa that will expire soon. I once stayed here in Thailand with a Tourist Visa and I overstayed a single day and back then there were no charges.

My question is: When I overstay one single day with the ED visa, will there be any charges or consequences?

Thanks a lot in advance!

At both airports in Bangkok they will not charge a fine for an overstay of less than 24 hours for any type of entry.

Thank you, there will also be no legal consequences right? As it basically is illegal to overstay?

Once you leave the country and they waive the fine that is it. No problems later.

You will be haunted down to the Bangkok deportation center, you will be tortured and left to rot in ............joking.

As Ubonjoe said: AT THE AIRPORT there will be no charge for an overstay up to 24 hours neither will there be legal consequences (blacklisting or persona non-grata-ing). If your overstay does have consequences when you're caught on the way to the airport..............? Totally depends on the mood of the checking police-officer.
