i like ko sumet,but the wife don't like boat trips.and october the kids are off school,so whats the best place

to go by car (not air).i no its the wet season but its the only time we can go for about 10 days.

Hate to say it, but avoid the Andaman Coast, we often get excessive rainfall in October. In Khao Lak where I am based, in October it can very well happen you don't get to see the sun for weeks at an end. You might consider Hua Hin, which gets comparatively little rain.
