malt25
these dregs of society need to be publicly humiliated, then sent to a facility that makes very little rocks from big rocks Which dregs ? The scammer or the sex tourists ? Just wondering.
Krataiboy
Now let me get this right. At the behest of the junta, Pattaya is being transformed from the Thai equivalent of Sodom and Gomorrah into a family-friendly resort. Yet at the same time its renowned enforcers of law and order are chasing a ticket tout for NOT serving up the porn show he had promised a bunch of dirty-minded Chinese. You couldn't make it up.
Time Traveller
Only in Thailand could you go to the police to report that you were scammed by this, and only in Thailand would the police go investigate this lol No this happens elsewhere. Thailand ain't so special.

Friendly Stranger
Hmmm. I guess the Chinese are the new sex tourists? So when it was mentioned recently that they're pushing for many more to visit I bet Thailand did not see this cum, oops coming. Tongue firmly in cheek. Friendly Stranger
Maybe I'm the only one confused here... Why, in Pattaya, would you need to pay someone to take you to a sex show? The dups were Chinese tourists, who from experience, don't know Pattaya and it's alternative side, as do some. They were the confused party and a helpful local took his cue to be of assistance to lighten their wallets. Also a whole new unsuspecting group of tourists to dupe since they've not seen any of the tricks from the locals. Maybe next week we'll have headline of a Chinese guy that got his 30k baht and gold chains stolen by ladyboys.
Carrerakiss
Maybe those laminated cards will be a really good clue for the police to mount a major investigation and track down an establishment offering sex shows. Just like they tracked down a massage shop offering sexual services recently. Have to send in a couple of undercover foreign operatives first though. It's not like these places are easy to find or anything.
Popular Post JSixpack
Where are our experts who know that Chinese aren't interested in the bars and classic Pattaya entertainments but are just led to packaged shopping emporiums and then go home to their rooms, never spending any money--unlike the big-spending farangs, the geese laying all the golden eggs, whom Thailand is driving to Cambodia and the Philippines ? steveG
2000 baht... split across a group of how many? Should they consider it a cheap education for their stupidity!? Very much agree with this - they should clock it up to experience, learn and move on. it was only THB 2000 anyway.

Lupatria
He admitted taking the group to the bar and was in possession of pornographic laminated cards which he uses to explain the services on offer at the establishment. Laminated, wow, a pro !! Laminated and lubricated often goes hand in hand...
Popular Post Suradit69
Only in Thailand could you go to the police to report that you were scammed by this, and only in Thailand would the police go investigate this lol And only in Thailand would western sex tourists post pages of comments about it all, thinking themselves to be tremendously sophisticated compared to the Chinese sex tourists. Probably many of these "sophisticated" western posters have also whined about being scammed in Thailand for every little thing or been sympathetic to other westerners who have been "tricked" out of their money by even more sophisticated rural women from Isaan.

car720
If I was in the police I would ask for all Chinese details Full names, date of birth , how many kids, wife extra Then phone numbers Then a curtsy call to their wife's just to let them know that they are taking their husbands complaint about being ripped off when he was promised to watch a group sexy show very seriously so she does not need to worry Then call his kids And colleges ha ha Don't think so. Looks like the wives are there with them in the photo. In China you can get a haircut for sixpence but not the show. They came for the show and got ripped off. Why shouldn't they be upset? Doesn't Thailand advertise itself internationally as the sex capitol of the world? Don't laugh but the Chinese would sincerely view this as false advertising.

So they were ripped off. Like allot of people say " why give someone money to show you where a sex show is " Specially if this is supposed to be he sex capital of Asia why on earth would they need a tour guid whilst walking through walking street That's like asking for a tour guid to guid one through a market that sells food The tour guid can point out that " this is the chicken shop" "This is the rice shop" " these are tables and chairs which with the right instruments such as knives forked and spoons and cup one can eat here and drink "

petermik
oh the poor sex tourists. Should have stayed in their rooms with a dirty magazine and a box of tissues. Popular Post OMGImInPattaya
these dregs of society need to be publicly humiliated, then sent to a facility that makes very little rocks from big rocks Isn't that a little harsh for a group of tourists just trying to spice up their holiday? Having their picture up on the internet for seeking out a sex-show is probably humiliation enough. Brian Corrigan
I take it there are no sex guides in China? The story of the Chinese tour group in Chiang Mai loading their shopping bags with food from the hotel buffet table takes some beating. TAT loves the numbers game but Thai's just can't make any money out of Chinese .Trouble is the other foreigners are slowly wising up to the scams and staying away.
Popular Post JacChang
<script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script> Lesson learned..... In Thailand they frequently expect you to pay in advance, but no refunds. Did the swindler pay back the money or not? No. He was fined 500 baht for not returning the 2,000 baht. Makes sense.

Popular Post balo
They paid 2000 baht , a fortune , and was sure they would get a free sex show for the whole group. risky11
The tourists did nothing wrong. Their mistake was giving money upfront. The tout showed them the photos and asked "you wanna see this show?" Tourists said YES. Pay B2000 now. NO - we pay AFTER we arrive and take look around. Ooops, sorry - show is now closed. Okay, fine. We come back tomoLLow - bye. The scammer should have HIS picture on the internet. The venues he was touting should be investigated and closed down. The tourists should get their money back PLUS B500 for their troubles. With a sincere wai and welcome to Thailand. If this happens again, just let us know. Service with a smile! Remember, it's LOS.
