The dups were Chinese tourists, who from experience, don't know Pattaya and it's alternative side, as do some. They were the confused party and a helpful local took his cue to be of assistance to lighten their wallets. Also a whole new unsuspecting group of tourists to dupe since they've not seen any of the tricks from the locals. Just like they tracked down a massage shop offering sexual services recently. Have to send in a couple of undercover foreign operatives first though. The tout showed them the photos and asked "you wanna see this show?" Tourists said YES. Pay B2000 now. NO - we pay AFTER we arrive and take look around. Ooops, sorry - show is now closed. Okay, fine. We come back tomoLLow - bye. The scammer should have HIS picture on the internet. The venues he was touting should be investigated and closed down. The tourists should get their money back PLUS B500 for their troubles. With a sincere wai and welcome to Thailand. If this happens again, just let us know. Service with a smile! Remember, it's LOS.
