Places like Big C and tesco dont seem to sell these items

where do you purchase such an item ??

i know thai prefer to burn their rubbish creating toxic fumes and choking smoke

for all to breath in ...

so there may not be much of a market for these things

do you have no regular rubbish collection where you live? also, in many places rag pickers will come around every week and pay you for your cans, plastic and glass leaving only paper packaging for disposal...

for vegetable and other organic scraps find some ducks somewhere...they will become your friends...nothing much goes to waste in LOS...

yes i have a regular collection once a week but the bin made from an inverted car tyres is inadequate to carry one weeks load , and there is the problem of getting the large quantity of waste from the back of the house/kitchen to the front .

it tends to mount up hence the need for a wheelie bin

well...you know, kev you can't believe everything that people tell ya. plachon on this forum scared the ###### out of me earlier on but my wife smiles sweetly and I don't see any cleavers around although I can hear them pounding next door at her mother's house...maybe more ominous?

eric...if you got an ironmonger/welder type person in town...the sort that does fences, gates and fancy iron trimmings for houses just give him a sketch of what you want and they can assemble it for you...like a large galvanized bin welded to a castor trolley arrangement. However be careful if it is manhandled by the rubbish collectors as they won't like the weight and won't care about banging it about.

A dustman is going along the street picking up the wheely bins and emptying

them into his dustcart. He gets to one house where the bin has not been left

out so he has a quick look for it in the front garden and then in the back

garden. Still not being able to locate the bin he knocks on the door.

No answer, so he knocks again.

Eventually a Japanese bloke answers.. "Harro".

"Alright mate, where's your bin?" asks the dustman.

"I bin on toilet" replies the Japanese bloke looking perplexed.

Realising that the Japanese fellow has misunderstood, the binman smiles and

says "No mate, where's your dustbin ?"

"I dust bin on toilet, I toll you" says the Japanese bloke.

"Mate" says the binman, "You misunderstand me. Where's your wheely bin?"

"Ok.. Ok.." says the Jap, "I wheely bin having wank"

Don't know where you live, but sounds like it isn't Bangkok if you only get garbage pickup once a week. Believe bins can be bought from city here, or weekly markets, or from many places that sell plastic water tanks/boats/etc.

Lotus/Big C do sell plastic garbage bags in all sizes that would solve your transport problems.
