Phyathai Hospital customer service is awesome. No hidden fees like in Bangkok Pattaya Hospital and doctors are way better.

I did this program in July and planning to do another one in December

Having lived here for many years, I've visited quite a few hospitals for one thing or another. Mainly dental work. But also checkups, etc. The #1 reason I like Phyathai is Gavin. His followup and recommendations are great. As we all know, sometimes dealing with the Thai staff is difficult. Mainly due to language issues. He takes care of everything.

I did one of these check-ups at Phyathai and was very satisfied. Like most other private hospitals here they do generally charge a "nursing" or "hospital" fee of a few hundred Baht, even when the nurse doesn't actually seem to do anything, though in their favour they didnt do this with fixed-price dental implants that I had done, nor with the fixed-price check-up.

Like the "++" on some restaurant bills, these extra unadvertised charges annoy me.

And they do overcharge heavily for medicines etc bought from their pharmacy, as does every other private hospital I have ever used here. Moral: buy medicines elsewhere.

I have also used Phyathai both for dental work and their general health check-ups (all very satisfactory), and I agree that Gavin makes the experience very easy. I suspect that many other farangs go there mostly because of him also.

Phyathai is now part of the Bangkok Hospital group so I am told. I do not know if Phyathai is accredited like BHP. I would think the corporate culture of the Bangkok Hospital group will eventually filter to Phyathai if it hasn't already.
