About King's Farming Project and the 30-30-30-10 formula...

Featured Replies

I was reading about the Farming Royal Projects...and the formula created and used for better land management..

30% rice, 30% fruit or other produce, 30% water (a pond?), and 10% for family food garden.....

I noticed that most small farmers do not use that formula. Why?

For that formula to work you would almost have to live on your land.(as animals would be involved)

And alot of the land titles around dont allow you to do that.

So alot of the farming here is set and forget.

I've watched those project shows on dltv but there all old viewing.

You think subsistence farmers in Thailand don't live on their land?

Get about and open your eyes in Isaan FJoe.

Like generational farmers everywhere many are reluctant to change their ways even when losing money.

Nor have the capital for earth dams and pumps for sustained water availability and drainage.

Not sure what part of isarn you talk about?

Here they all live in villages and go to their land daily,(probably stay if harvest to stop theft)

Probably 5 percent would account for farmers living on their land here.
