India 'serial killer' to be executed

(BBC) -- An Indian man sentenced to death for murdering a girl in a case dubbed "the house of horrors" will be executed next week, officials say.

In 2009, Surinder Koli and his businessman employer Moninder Singh Pandher were convicted of murdering 14-year-old Rimpa Haldar. Pandher was later freed by a higher court.

They were held in 2007 after body parts were found near their home near Delhi.

The crime shocked the country, with many accusing the police of negligence.

Police say at least 19 young women and children were raped, killed and dismembered in a house where Koli worked as a servant for the owner in the suburb of Noida near Delhi.

Why hanging him?

Dismember him while he still alive and offer his body parts to people who need them.

Liver, kidneys, heart, lungs, skin and tissue, bone marrow, eyes, ears, etc...

Let him be of some value for the community while he is still alive.

Can still use his parts after hanging. Only the neck is damaged.

Medieval much?

I'm reading a book at the moment--Angels of our Better Nature--about how we have been becoming less violent and more civilised over time. You're convincing me otherwise...

Actually, this case is quite controversial because firstly (beastly) they found a web can used for child porn before the kids picked up from the street were dissected by specialist doctor(s) who harvested their body parts for illegal organ trade

The house was owned and racket operated by Pander and Koli was just the servant who disposed of the bone and gristle over the back fence noticed by the neighbors. Pander got off, doctors disappeared, someone forgot the webcam and Koli took the rap. Disgusting people all.

This guy was dismembering young girls and selling their organs on the black market.

Why not use his organs to save or make live from others worthwhile living?

I remember the movie "Coma: where bodies where kept in a Coma until somebody would need an organ transplantation.

Why not build such prisons worldwide and keep the bodies of criminals intact?

The murderer would serve a good purpose once in his "life".

The money from the organs could go to the families of the victims.

Capital punishment has been proven that it is not working.

Why not try a new system?

Maybe some of the more superstitious people would feel "haunted" or generally not want part of an evil person inside them. Although I'm not superstitious, I don't really think I'd want the heart of some sick twisted criminal inside me.
