Single or double entry Tourist visa.

Featured Replies

I would like to go to cambodia or laos to get a tourist visa. Can someone explain the differencd between a single and double entry visa. Also what is it with extensions. Can i extend the visas. What's the longest I would be able to stay?

A tourist visa gives a 60 day entry that can be extended for 30 days at immigration.

A 2 entry would allow you to enter the country twice without needing a new visa. You need to leave and re-enter the country to use the 2nd entry. A 2 entry visa would give you almost 6 months of total stay without needing to get a new visa.

You can get a 2 entry tourist visa in Laos. The embassy in PP Cambodia only does single entry visas.

Thanks for your help. How long does it take to get the double entry in laos? Is it reliable with always giving double entry for all nationalities. My gf is from Philippines so just wondering if it is the samd for people from that country.

Vientiane is apply morning of one day and pick it up the next afternoon. Savannakhet at the moment is doing visas on the same day applied.

There have been reports of them not doing 2 entry visas for those from Philippines in Vientiane in the past. I have seen no recent post of it though. Savannakhet would be a better choice for her.
