Can you pay a Overstay at the udon Thani airport

Featured Replies

I'm trying to figure out the best place to pay my LONG Overstay (I don't even want to talk about exactly how long it is), I seem to be hearing the BKK airport. Crossing through the friendship border in Nong Khai has been said to be a nono. I've heard this from several Thais who USED to have business going back and forth from Laos but say the new rules ruined their business. But aren't there flights to Laos from the Airport in udon Thani? And if so shouldn't there be a immigration office there?

There are no international flights from/to Udon Thani.

No immigration at the airport.

There was an immigration office at the airport until 2011, but now moved to town.

Personally I would not recommend to travel to Udon with a long overstay.

Go to Suv. or Don Mueang!

As said there no international flights from Udon.

Best to fly from Bangkok. Check for flights on Lao Southern airways to Vientiane.

Cannot really confirm any flights from Udon to Laos...they must of stopped. We checked 3 months ago and were told no. But you can see where the sites I listed above still claim to have them. Personally, I doubt they exist, but you can call the Terminal and check.

I believe it is now just an international airport in name - no actual civilian international flights

Edit: I saw this online but not sure how up to date "Lao Airlines fly between Udon to Luang Prabang on Friday and Monday weekly."

I don't think that affects you paying your overstay at Nong Khai
