World Champions prepare to compete in the Pattaya Snooker Open 2015



PATTAYA: -- A press conference was held at the Amari Orchid Pattaya on Sunday to announce the Pattaya Snooker Open 2015 which is set to be held at the North Pattaya Hotel in the Autumn of 2015.

Pattaya’s Mayor, Khun Itipon, is Chairman of the organizing committee for the event which has already confirmed top players such as Jimmy White, Ken Doherty, James Wattana and John Higgins will be attending the event which will be raising money for the Father Ray Foundation.

In attendance to confirm his participation in the event was Snooker Legend Jimmy White who confirmed he is looking forward to taking part and helping to raise money for such a worthy cause.

Should do, he has been here many times, and played snooker in many of the establishments around town.

^^ considering Jimmy White has owned a holiday home in Pattaya for over three years, purchased July 2011 'after a number of visits to Thailand and the resort city' I don't expect he will be too surprised during this tournament.

He has played snooker there since at least 2009.

What's all this BS? Jimmy White is a regular visitor to Pattaya even played pool with him myself. Great guy.

All the snooker pros come to Bangkok and Pattaya for tournaments been doing it for donkey's years.

Yes. Not the most convincing one either if you see him close up. Great snooker player is Jimmy, really gifted. He certainly seems to know the way to the pie shop too!

Yes, I heard the commentary about this on Pattaya One News last night, a pity the video accompanying it was all about body-builders.
