Wat Phu Tok. Google it under images and if you are fit enough and not scared of heights I would highly recommend it.

Judging by the requests for information asked by TOURISTS on TripAdvisor Forum Thailand, it would appear that for them it is:

1. Bangkok

2. Chiangmai

3. Phuket or Samui.

Sadly they have no or little interest in places such great as anywhere in the whole of Isaan, Kanchanaburi, the whole of the north except CM, Chiangrai, Pai, MHS, the South except the islands.

which is GREAT! as it keeps them all concentrated in those areas leaving others to explore places less travelled by typical tourists. you get a nicer welcome there.

stay at a floating hotel in kanchanaburi and visit Erawan Falls...early in the morning

stay in chiang Mai and take a trip to see the white temple ...it looks like it's still open

Khao yai national park two nice falls to see and as someone else said if you can cycle you get to see and hear the jungle in a different way from on the back of a pickup

Sounds great May plan the trip.

1) Doi Inthanon, highest point in Thailand 2) Khao Yai National Park 3) Phra Buddha Chinaraj in Phitsanulok. But of course, one man's meat.....

Patpong, Soi Cowboy & Nana Plaza.

All three were much more fun late 80's to mid 90's. Now they are overcrowded, dirty and uninviting.

Patpong, Soi Cowboy & Nana Plaza.

You forgot to mention the Gay area... Please enlighten us.....

Mekong river/Isan/Chiang Khan

My top 3-places to visit in Thailand are my favorite running places:

1). Bangkok --- Lumpini Park at about 6AM --- you will see people of all ages, nationalities and athletic abilities there running, exercising, and people watching.

2). Pattaya --- in July on Beach Road at 530AM for the start of the annual Pattaya Marathon.

3). Nakorn Nayok --- in March at 6AM running through country roads as the sun starts to come up.

Second entry:

1). Surin --- shopping at the Cambodia market

2). Bangkok --- shopping at Chatuchak market

3). Bangkok --- shopping in Chinatown or Pantim Plaza
