iphone jailbreakers wil you keep your jailbreak or upgrade to ios8

Featured Replies

Just wondering out of the people who jailbreak there phone will either keep there jailbreak or upgrade.

If you are unsure then my advice would be to download the IOS 8 GM(you should know where to dl from if not PM me) test it out and then if you dont think its worth it then downgrade back to ios 8 as long as you do it while apple still sign ios 7.1.2(which they will till friday) you will be ok

i can personally confirm its possible as iv done it myself, i downgraded again because my home button is crap and i use activator to map a gesture.

my look at it is that its gone even whiter lol, would i lose the jb for ios 8, probably not but that's because i like the transparent dock and like i say my home button is no good.

Only way I'd lose it is if I bought an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus. I love my jailbreak tweaks too much to upgrade upgrade to it on my 5s.

I agree, i have the GM release and will probably go back to 7.1.2 before friday but i must admit this new feature of being able to reply to messages or mark as read emails straight from the lockscreen is very handy, i can imagine with the next few app updates facebook, whatsapp etc will incorporate this feature also

iOS 8 has been released, but wait a couple of days before downloading it.

This morning I wanted to upgrade my iPad (via iTunes) and the download (1.2 Gb) started of at 14 hours remaining which increased to 18 Hours ++. (Download Speed was max 50 Kbps)

So I am going to wait a couple of days before upgrading wink.png

I had the wrong date of Friday it has been released already luckily i have already downgraded back to 7.1.2.

The lines between the need to jailbreak or not are certainly closing, I do like my JB bit what I didn't realsie was that ALL of the IOS security is disabled as well and then feel like a Android phone as far as security goes :)
