PATTAYA:--Police are currently searching for 3 men and 1 woman wanted in connection with a break-in at an East Pattaya house on Wednesday afternoon which saw items worth over 300,000 Baht stolen.

Nongprue Police were called to the house at the Ratanagorn Village 3 off Soi Neun Plub Wan by its owner, Khun Ampai aged 36, who returned home from work to find his house had been broken into and a safe box containing valuable items had been taken.

The house is covered by 4 security cameras which were covered over, presumably by the assailants, who were able to walk out of the house with the safe box in broad daylight. A neighbor did see the assailants carry out the safe, but they presumed the owner was moving house and chose not to report the incident to Police at the time.

Inside the safe was 160,000 Baht’s worth of Gold, 50,000 Baht in cash, 10 Buddhist Amulets and a Land Title Deed.

Sounds like there was some inside knowledge.

I wonder what business Khun Ampai is in that he could have so many valuables in his safe. Maybe he didn't want to have it in a bank account.
