laolover88
Friends are reporting 'unusual' events at this office; like complementary or even complimentary! fee requests. Anyone had any interesting experiences, there?
paz
KK is the place where they take 500 Baht for residence certificate. 200 in other offices or free when mailed. Other common demand is gas money for visits to marriage extensions. There can be certainly more.

Costas2008
I have no complaints with KK Immigration. They are efficient, professional and they never gave me any hassle. The didn't charge me the 500Baht for residence certificate. From reading about other Immigration offices in Thailand I wish every one of them would be like KK. glegolo
I agree 100% with costas2008. They "cleaned" it up at KK immigration 1 year after it re-opened round 2009-2010 (don´t remember exactly), and for me, and also for my 3 closests friends here in Chaiyaphum, neither one of them have experienced any monkey business there... I have NEVER paid any extra. I can confirm that they are servive-minded and very helpful, no complaints from my side.... Can it be in some cases that "you will be treated the way you treat others" or maybe some falangs dress like monkeys and behaves like monkeys or both. I dont know.. lungbing
I did pay to have all my stamps moved over to my new passport earlier this year, but that was only 200 baht and I didn't mind at all. Other than that no problem since the place opened. And I was last there only last Thursday for my annual renewal which went without a hitch.
