Residents of six provinces warned of flash floods

The Meteorological Department Wednesday warned residents of six provinces to brace themselves against flash floods as influence of the monsoon wind continues to unleash heavy rains.

The six provinces are Prachin Buri, Chanthaburi, Trad, Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khirikhan and Chumphon.

The department said the southwest monsoon wind over the Andaman and the upper part of the Gulf of Thailand caused heavy rains in the provinces.
