Popular Post Radar501
Following Mr Mcghee's darkest hour on this planet, the Pattaya Daily Mail and Thai Visa Forum find it appropriate to splash his personal details and even more personal problems across their electronic tabloids for all to see. In spite of it being a good story, there are very appropriate reasons why media outlets in Australia (and I assume USA, UK etc) do not report such events. Shame.

fredKroket
For all of you that say 5,000 baht isn't a lot, I agree it isn't if you have it. This guy was found in a room on Soi Khao Noi, which is hardly the high end of town to live in. His monthly rent and living expenses may well have been 5,000 baht and he may've been counting on getting it back to pay his rent and utilities. By not having this money it can be a real game changer for some people, this is the type of person hides away in a less than salubrious 'loom', scraping an existence from what little resources they may have.

Popular Post choochoo
5000 baht is not big money... makes me wonder? 5000 baht is REALLY big if you are BROKE. one -tenth of one-percent control 46% of the wealth in thailand.
Suradit69
5000 baht is not big money... makes me wonder? Sorry that he obviously has issues. Maybe loss of face, which is very important to many farang. If he was checking out on the 22nd, the prospect of returning to Britain may have understandable made him depressed.Maybe under the influence of alcohol or something else. At least the usual brigade of conspiracy theorists have nothing more to fling about other than the suggestive veiled hints of "makes me wonder." Sometimes the obvious is what really happened. balo
This got nothing to do with 5000 baht , but it's depression and he tried to escape in a way only cowards would do by hanging himself . Is there anyone back home that will support him and make sure he gets professional help ? If not he will succeed next time , maybe tomorrow.

Popular Post Chris Lawrence
What great people to help this man save his life. A terrible state of mind to be in. I hope this man gets the help he needs. Maybe a lot more to the story, that is not printed here. At 33 this man still has a lot to offer. Sometimes we forget to connect with others, but some times professional help is needed, but hard to reach out for this help. Depression kills a lot of men.

I always find it amusing that ill informed, intolerant people say "only cowards" would attempt suicide. In reality, many of the so called cowards have fought long and hard battles against their inner demons. When they feel they can no longer go on or feel that their problems, real or imagined are hurting their loved ones they decide to end it for the better. For the record try it...see how easy it is to physically harm yourself then tell me only cowards do it.
