Any need for that? I would believe most posters here know the consequences........

You don't know what else was involved, such as drug induced anorexia etc.. pointless exercise.... ?

i would add; #the culture of face # the culture of women as second class citizens # inability to think about/understand consequences and # the lack of critical thinking skills and #lack of accountability

meth addiction in of itself is bad enough but add the above and the result is a terrific compounding.

I am sorry about the Wife and Daughter, such a shame. I have a low tolerance for Drug Dealers and Users. I believe the Dealer should executed, first time convicted and users the third time.

On a lighter note, back in Texas you never burn your pick-up truck, unless you are mentally deranged !!

A lot of you a blaming drugs without even knowing the facts.

He was not experiencing the effects of any drugs when he killed them.

The article merely states that he had a history of drug consumption, without even stating exactly what drugs he consumed in the past. Simply being a daily ethanol beverage (beer, wine, whisky) drinker or tobacco smoker classifies someone as a habitual drug user (though I know a lot of you would not want to label yourselves as a drug user when in fact you are).

What was his mental illness? The article did not mention that either, but that may be the key to understanding the man's behavior and actions, and not so much what drugs he had consumed years ago.

Yet ethanol is totally fine (because it's legal) eh?

Mental illness?!?! How??!?! he stabbed both of them, had the idea to take them to hospital, stole 3 bikes and wanted to steal a car, and also abandoned a bike as it belonged to a soldier....

Clear murder case, period.

Poor family, may their soul test in peace

The Daily News today said he worked in the rubber business and some years ago facing failure, he became stressed and took to narcotics. After a spell in the mental hospital he was released. Living in Chumpon, they had 2 daughters, with one still at school,Going to Bangkok ( end of term I presume to pick her up), the wife wanted to stop off to see some relatives there too but he didn't want to. This led to a furious argument where hereupon he stopped the car and stabbed the 2 to death.

Father arrested for killing and burning wife and daughter

9-29-2014-2-16-55-PM-wpcf_728x413.jpg

BANGKOK: -- Chumphon police have arrested a drug addicted father who was responsible for the murder of his wife and daughter in Samut Sakhon last week.

Rames Rattana was arrested in Pato district of Chumphon province after he fled Samut Sakhon province to Chumphon after stabbing to death his wife Orapin and 12-year-old daughter and burned their bodies in the pickup-truck abandoned at a secluded location off Rama 2 road last Friday.

He admitted to the murder after having heated quarrel with his wife while driving them from Pato to visit his sister in Samut Prakarn province.

The quarrel started when his wife told him not to park the truck in the dark and isolated place off the road to take a nap as it was unsafe and suggested him to park at other safer place.

He said he turned outraged after the truck got stuck in a hole and couldn’t move.

A heated quarrel broke out and he lost control, stabbing his wife with a rubber tapping knife. As her daughter was also stabbed while trying to intercept.

He also claimed he had to stab his injured daughter to death as he couldn’t tolerate his daughter crying in pains from the cut wounds trying to protect her mother from the assault.

He then burned their bodies using the papers from newspapers as fuel.

He took off his bloodstained jeans wearing only the boxer shorts and went to his sister’s house in Phra Pradaeng and stole her motorcycle to ride home in Pato.

Police said the man
was paranoid while being detained in police cell last night.

His 17-year-old daughter told police her father was addicted to drug and was occasionally paranoid fearing somebody was trying to kill him. She said the family tried to send him to see doctors but he refused.

Police escorted Rames to reenact the murder at the scene in Samut Sakhon province today amid tight security for fear of being lynched by the people.

I think it must have been a foreigner who did this, and then made it look like this guy committed this act. Perhaps a not so funny joke.

It would have been so much better had this fool just committed suicide. And left his family alone. They would probably be celebrating this evening. The dummy is gone! Don't worry honey, I know your dad never really did anything for you anyway, so no problem, we can just get on with our lives now.

Good, but you forgot # the lack of serious punishment from incorruptible police and authorities.

Can you tell me what the BIB do understand? Build more jails or off all the suppliers....... ???

Prostitution and drugs have been around since ancient times. As long as you stay away from such, and those that do engage, then your life will be safe.

The latter includes beaches, late at night!

The cops could also stop supplying meth. Just a thought.

Leeds Medical School...important 'seat' at the time of his learning, prestigious would be pushing it!

All very different now though...
