sotsira
Jomtien has a large selection of bars located just off the recently new Jomtien second road. It's a bar complex of approx 40 or so bars next to the Rompho Market, a couple of hundred metres past the Hanuman Statue travelling southwards. MZurf
Are you a masochist or just looking for an early demise? Good luck. Are they mutually exclusive? The biggest drawback of living in Jomtien culinary wise is that there are no Japanese restaurants.

I've seen a sushi restaurant on Chaiyaphruek, not too far from the beach. Have you tried it???

craigt3365
Oops...It's Soi Wat Boon. Right side a few hundred meters before Beach Road as you are heading towards the beach. Sorry! Never eaten there as parking is close to impossible.
OnMyWay2
It's changes mostly for the worse. Fewer Russians, more Arabs, more rats on beach road, more gangs and graffiti in Jomtien, more people, cars and traffic. Was better 5 years ago back when Ca Wow was open. If you want to go to an exellent Japanese restaurant, go to Sriracha. A new Japanese called Shokudou. Look it up on tripadviser. You will be surprised. Its the best Japanese i visit untill now in Thailand.Ohana
Flanno
Since you ask about bar fines, no doubt you will be able to find that out for yourself. However probably a couple of thousand new bar girls in town since you left.

craigt3365
No...not Winchester Club...but I have heard about it. Keep going towards the beach and it's on the right about 1/2 down that row of shop houses. Again, I've never stopped as I hate that narrow road and parking is tough. But it's got a sign out front advertising sushi.
