September 29, 201411 yr There was a bar at the top of New Plaza that sold local whisky for THB 10 on Tuesday and Thursday. Not being a drinker unsure if its still there or still doing it. Paddys in Klang was always a cheap place also.
September 29, 201411 yr Allex bar in New Plaza sold SangCoke for 25 baht last time I was there in June. GoogleMaps
September 29, 201411 yr Just to be pedantic.....SangSom is actually "Special Rum" not whisk(e)y - look at the bottle! Yes I know Thais refer to most spirit drinks as whisk(e)y....never understood why though? And yes it is vile stuff....but I love it.........with Sprite! Edited September 29, 201411 yr by VBF
September 29, 201411 yr I imagine 25 baht is not going to give you a full shot. In fact, I've been told that by bar workers. So if you like Coke, have at it. New Plaza would fulfill your dreams.
September 30, 201411 yr As has been said rum & coke @ 25 baht is a good deal. I used to like Mekhong whisky with sprite until it disappeared off all shelves except at BKK.
September 30, 201411 yr Vile stuff.... Agreed. Doubt it will be good Sangsom (if there is such a thing), the bottle price had a hike a while back. I ain't drinking anything that costs 25bht.

September 30, 201411 yr Is crazy Daves still open , that was a bit cheap to say the least Was that the place at the beginning of beach road ? He made a point of misspelling the outside display menu..anyway it closed 30 years ago.
September 30, 201411 yr 25 baht ??? I would need a stretcher by the time I consoled in that place....
October 1, 201411 yr Yes that,s the place its owned/managed by Noi and she will sell you a half or full bottle and store it for you-works out even cheaper so I,m told Does she have a price for Saeng Som with orange juice? I have a mate who favors that. Could probably impress him with this hint

October 1, 201411 yr yeah, crazy Daves has a sang som set for 250b which I am sure you can get more than 10 drinks out of it I don't drink it - in fact my mate asked me to get him a bottle of decent rum (well, so he thinks) at mcr airport and I have still managed to keep my hands off that and its been over 2 months
