Questions, answers, conversation, oh my

I have a question, or I guess it's more a commentary. Why do so many posts on TV have to endure the "hey dumb ass use the search feature!!! That topic is discussed ad nauseam daily blah blah" as an "answer"?

If someone is bored with a topic, ignore it. If you aren't, answer it. Look, clearly for many, TV is a social venue. It's like the pub. How many times do we endure the same stupid conversations down at the pub?!

As far as I'm concerned there are two reasons for TV. 1) it's a nice social venue online to chat, socialize, and help people along the way. Answering the same question over and over again is par for the course, especially in Thailand where the rules change hourly. 2) it's a business. TV is a website that wants visits/views/etc. Page/ad impressions are revenue. Trying to reduce the number of times a given topic is discussed is counter to the money generated goals of any business. Anytime you say "hey dumbass, go look elsewhere or use search instead of making a fresh topic", you are reducing the income of the site that we all enjoy for free.

So just as online resources are a way to avoid having to use the library or a travel guide, fresh new topics and restated questions are a way to avoid the dreaded search function...which in this land can easily yield incorrect and old information.

This very much the same topic is currently running and has been for up to a week... It would be better if you found it - and made your post as a comment there.

I'm going to supplement my initial post with a very direct question. "If you see a fresh post asking a question that us fossils that have lived and died in Thailand might already know the answer to, why the <deleted> do you ever click the reply button, type a load of shit about how they should use search and find the answer themselves because it's already been discussed, and never actually answer it even though you might actually have the answer!?!?"

Lol. I forgot to mention the other "standard response". Troooooollll. Really? Is that all you can do when you don't have anything to add to a conversation?!

Maybe i am getting it wrong but whenever i have used the search function on TV I get nowhere. Very little of relevance comes up. When that happens i would post afresh.

I agree.

I think there are some who have spent all day every day on TV since it's inception.

They never miss a post and know every answer to every question.

Why should they be considerate of others who actually have a life other than TV?

We all know that situations never change, people and places never change and neither do opinions.

If I could only cast away the rest of my life and responsibilities and live my life at the TV keyboard then I could be rude and dismissive to others as well.

Why should I skip over topics that I know so much about that they bore me when I can criticize those not as dedicated to life on line as I am.?

I mean, TV is only for those who know all the answers isn't it?
