So, it turns out i can't renew my workpermit unitll 1 month before it runs out.

Which sucks, because i prefer to get 1 year multiple entry visas because i travel around.

But it needs to be valid for 7+ months.

Anyway, any Embassies that don't give out a 3 month business visa.

I am thinking of going to Cambodia, Laos or Myanmar.

Will i have any problems getting a 3 month Business visa either place.

I have all the proper docs.

Laos would be the best choice. Savannakhet does visas on the same day they are applied for..

There are not enough reports for Myanmar or Vietnam about getting them there to give a good answer.

Cambodia will do them but it can take up to 4 days to get it unless you use an agent.

Don't know where you are based, but I have seen a recent report in Phuket of someone getting their WP extended way in advance of its expiry date.

This was done specifically to facilitate a fresh one year multiple entry non 'b' application in Penang Malaysia, which needs a minimum of 8 months WP validity.

WP was due to expire in December 2014 and was extended to December 2015 by Phuket Labour.

Well, labour department in Bkk, said max 1 month in advance.

Btw, is it possible to extend a business visa by say 2 weeks, at chaeng wattana?

You apply the morning of one day and pick up your passport the next afternoon in Vientiane.

The longest extension you apply for other than one year is 7 days.

Vientane does not issue such visa. The only consulate that does is Penang, Malaysia.
