I want this case reinvestigated.

We need 100,000 signatures. So for we have 56,732 signatures. We are half way there. Please spread the word. Sandy Thin Mar Oo will be handing over our petition in person to Prime Minister David Camerons office in London on October 17th.

http://www.change.org/p/the-government-of-the-united-kingdom-independently-investigate-the-horrific-murders-of-hannah-witheridge-and-david-miller

This was posted on the CSI LA Facebook page. Every time I try to sign the petition it's in Thai language. I end up giving up. Please let us have a way of signing in English. I'm using a tablet computer.

if you scroll down the page, and click on the small square spot at the bottom right , you can select the language.

it has been said at least 10 times in the last week...

I don't know why you bother with this kind of negativity really.

Pointless and just makes you appear incredibly small minded and devoid of anything intelligent to respond with.

While avoiding the ad hominem attacks..

It isn't negativity. It is reality.

In a country of 68 million... And with the UK far more. Some likes on FB mean almost nothing.

Someone else was posting that the change.org site had even fewer people interested.

There is no way to measure why people may have liked the FB page.

Sadly people on here cannot accept any opinions or facts that do not agree with their theories.

Looking at all the headlines on this forum tonight and what the British Embassy have said, "there are a lot of holes in the report that need clearing up" or words to that effect. The more it looks like these two guys will get off, if only for reasonable cause. The whole thing seems to now be blown out of proportion and all seems to be swinging in their favour. See where it goes from here.

If this were not Thailand I might agree with you.

The trial doesn't go to a jury. Judges decide the case. They will look at evidence. They will totally ignore rumors that cannot be verified.

And this is where a judge with any common sense will see that there is no credible evidence to suggest that these 2 Burmese boys could of possibly committed this vicious and unprovoked attack.

Contaminated dna evidence!

Confession made under duress!

Withdrawn confessions!

Conflicting accounts of alleged perpetrators movements on night of the murders.

Contaminated crime scene

Witheld/ doctored cctv footage

Selective dna testing.

Should I go on JD?

Good to see your still holding that candle up for the RTP. Someone has to I suppose.

Should I go on JD?

Sure!!

1. Men not boys

2. DNA has not been proven to be contaminated

3. Confessions neither proven to be made under duress, nor does a retraction matter.

4. Surely only one account of movements is in the case file.

5. Crime scene may or may not have been contaminated. Doesn't prevent conviction.

6. CCTV shows suspects. Defense will have chance to question it. Just because you have not seen it all means nothing.

7. DNA results that match the suspects means no others needed.

Feel free to send me the prosecution's files if you have them.

I think that your points above, apart from point 1., become a nonsense in view of the statement by the Director General of the Central Institute of Forensic Science, when she says that the whole investigation has been bungled, including letting other people enter the crime scene, and that without the involvement of a Forensic Scientist the investigation might not be complete, and most importantly, that police contradicted the principles of forensic science in doing the investigation themselves.

And if you read the last line, you will see that she is almost certainly hinting that the police, in allowing their own to investigate something in which they have no experience in dealing with anyway, may well be able to corrupt the evidence to suit their needs.

You mean the same person that defended the GT2000?

I would give my DNA as i have nothing to hide

I personally think every person in the world should have DNA tested and stored on a database

Only persons who dont want this usually have something to hide or dont want to be caught in the future

And people that fear totalitarian oppressive regimes .. where one day you are a friend of the state and the next day you are an enemy of the state.. simply for your beliefs, sexual orientation, religion or political views you could one day be the enemy of the state.... ofcourse you would probably volunteer for prison at that time.. so good on you my sheepling.

Well that's a different take on things....

Does your DNA let the state know what your sexual/religious beliefs are ?

BTW there is no magic number of esigs to force a UK enquiry.

The UK has no standing in Thailand to carry out an official investigation that has any weight of law here.

Personally I would like to see the report from the official UK coroner and to know if he was able to get any usable DNA.

This is how I managed to get aroung the Thai language sign form.

Go to the top right Thai word which is login to change.org. Change the language at the bottom right of that page when it opens. Then go back to the sign page and it's in English.

No it does not. But lord knows how they will use it against people.. maybe they will frame me for murdering tourists on Koh Tao ..

Retracting a confession is standard practice for those who have been advised of the seriousness of their position. It has little real bearing on the case if the evidence against them is strong. It is laughable that the amateur sleuths of. TV think it is so important but then all along they have their own Thai bashing agenda to propel them along. Let the case go to court promptly and see if it can be proven.

Yes because courts are never corrupt and we must always think that all officials and courts all over the world are always right.

Sounds like you are really happy if this horrific crime

will stay on a low level and less audience is better

so that the corrupt police and goverment get away with their lies.

I can assure you this will not be the case

Thai bashing is not the same as having open eyes and seeing that the police are corrupt ... there's mafia involved... etc... ALL EVIDENCE suggests that the case is a farce.... dammit,, must resist urge to feed the trolls...

* The top thai forensics expert said the case is incomplete. evidence incomplete.. police did dna testing without having forensic personnell etc.. it will all be thrown out of any court that is not completely corrupt.. ofcourse... yes.. let's see how wide the corruption is ...if the case holds up in court i would just think that the court is corrupt... unless new evidence comes forward.

No tears here :)

I have seen so many people blindly following one rumor and it's attached conspiracy, only to jump to another.

None based on actual facts.

I think they have the killers in custody.

Have you read the article in time.com ?

Maybe you should consider changing your avatar or your attitude.
