Pipo Tablet 3G connection problems

I have a pipo max m9 pro 3g tablet purchased in the Uk where the 3g sim card from Giffgaff worked well, whilst here in Thailand i have tried a true and an ais sim card both of which access the internet in my Phone, but both will not work in the tablet. all apn settings are as company websites and the same as my phone settings. the sims are recognised by the tablet, and the tablet accesses the internet when connected via wifi, so it would seem to be something wrong with the sim card/tablet combination

any suggestions please

Quick lookup online

PiPO Max-M9 pro 3G Black

Android 4.2

10.1 Diagonal Screen 16:10 1920x1200

Rockchip RK3188 Cortex A9 Quad Core 1.6 GHz/4-core 32GB ROM / 2GB RAM

3G, Wi-Fi 802.11/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0

WCDMA/HSPA: 2100/900 Mhz,

GSM/GPRS/EDGE:850/900/1800/1900

So, it should work with all the mobile carriers providing 3G coverage on 2100 (AIS, DTAC, TOT3G, True-H) when in range of a 3G tower, provided you are using the correct APN data for the service type you're trying to access.

Basic info. can help diagnose a problem.

Is this an Android tablet?

What APN settings are you using?

What are the SIM promotion names?

Try:

1.) Changing the APN Type to

default,supl

2.) You may have to register the SIM, and/or subscribe to a mobile data plan.

Seems like you are over-configuring the APNs on both?

TrueMove H have limited 3G/2100 MHz; more LTE/2100 MHz and 3G/850 MHz, so you may well not be capable?

For True I'd drop everything except Name, APN, APN Type, username; maybe try default, supl for APN Type.

Remember to save the APN, then activate/select it, re-start the device

Does the AIS SIM packaging indicate it is a newer 2100 MHz version?

Maybe try CHAP for Authentication?

Has this tablet worked previously?

Can you try auto-configuring? The APN is usually baked in to the SIM. Settings, Wireless & Networks, More. Mobile Networks, Network Operators (your's may be different; I am on Android 4.4.4)

Does your tablet have a special section for SIM Settings, or Mobile Settings where you can specify 3G/2G (conserve battery), Data and Data Roaming?

Basically, look for any setting that may affect how the network is utilized.

all different options tried with no luck, looks like a trip to tuk com next time i go to pattaya, but will keep trying
