Cowardly Cat

Featured Replies

He's got a yellow streak down his back. He won't defend his patch, even when the invader comes in the house. I've even come home to find him outside while this other cat is inside. It's not a stray it lives about 300m away. I'm afraid he'll end up being run off the property, any ideas?

Teach him to box.

Why do you allow stray cats into your house. The stray obviously has as much fear of you as he does of your cat

From the OP "It's not a stray it lives about 300m away." We have a young female kitten that we took in, about 3 month old which is the attraction.

Cats aren't necessarily defensive of their territory in the way that dogs are. Our cat just ignores our dogs when they run into the bedroom and they don't know what to make of it. They don't even bark at her any more. We also had a visit from a chicken, same reaction.

In 11 years he's the 1st cat who hasn't chased off intruders. 1 of them would have ripped it's balls off just for looking at the house.
