October 17, 201411 yr It looked like the bike stalled- it's not meant to be ridden that slowly, I guess.
October 18, 201411 yr One of the guys in our neighbor hood rolled over a piece of Styrofoam and down he went screwed up shoulder now lucky he had his helmet on took a knock to head as well

October 18, 201411 yr ...been there, done that... That is why I ride 150cc now. I still fall down, , but at least I can right the bike unaided. Dropped my 650KLR once while loading onto a trailor & had to hire 2 lads to help me. They were quite amused of course. Edited October 18, 201411 yr by papa al
October 18, 201411 yr Author The biggest bike problem in Pattaya is the sand on the roads after rain. You have to be very careful or you can fall off!
October 19, 201411 yr Author Rossi won in Australia. Pedrosa is probably hoping next GP will be better for him!
October 19, 201411 yr Rossi won in Australia. Pedrosa is probably hoping next GP will be better for him! I dont think it matters much now.... When Iannone clipped him today he did not even fall but went back to the pits with a rear wheel problem & retired. I dont understand Repsol's thinking since MM has already secured the World Championship this year but Dani was a contender for 2nd overall for the year. Could have been a 1-2 for Honda They could have changed his wheel or let him take the 2nd bike. Some points would have been better than none. As it stands now it is Rossi & Lorenzo who will likely fight for 2nd & 3rd in the WC standings Odd day with Marquez, Pole Espagaro & Cal all crashing basically the same way. (Lose the front under braking.) Phillip Island is notoriously hard on tires But good race & good for Smiths 1st GP podium as well as an all Yamaha Podium. Edited October 19, 201411 yr by mania

According to the Spanish press, they were going to change the rear wheel on Dani's bike, but noticed that the swing arm was also bent so it got wheeled back into the garage and game over.

Thanks O&O yes I saw that too but still... His 2nd bike was sitting there & already warmed up as they thought weather may change That pit crew could have swapped out the wets for drys before he even reached the pit. Albeit maybe suspension/brakes would be tuned different but still some points when they are so important. Thing is I think he is basically out of the hunt now completely as only Sepang & Valencia remain ...Jorge has 17 points on him & Rossi has 25 But I guess it is never over till its over & we never know. Rossi or Jorge could crash out
October 21, 201411 yr They're not allowed to swap bikes unless the race is declared flag to flag due to a change in weather conditions and the white flag with a red X is shown.

I always thought in GP class they could if the machine was damaged but made it back to the box But looking thru the 2014 GP regs I see it is only if damage is sustained on warm up lap Any rider who encounters a problem with his machine on the warm uplap may return to the pit lane and make repairs or change machine in MotoGP only .
