Thailand Is Negotiating For Exports Of More Farm Produce To New Zealand

Thailand is negotiating for exports of three more farm produce to New Zealand

The Agriculture and Cooperatives Ministry will seek New Zealand’s permission for sales of three more agricultural produce from Thailand in that country.

Caretaker Minister Khunying Sudarat Keyurapan (สุดารัตน์ เกยุราพันธ์) said Thailand can now export lychee, longan, mangosteen, durian and ginger to New Zealand. Sales have been good and orders have risen and now the ministry is looking to market asparagus, green peas and young coconut in that country, Khunying Sudarat said.

She said the ministry is also looking to export cooked and frozen chicken products to New Zealand because transport costs are not high and the market has not been monopolized by traders from any countries.
