Congrats to Arsenal.

Looked like City players were still on their holidays. There wasn't much in that game to cheer up the fans. Sooner we get the other half of the team back, the better:

Hart

Zabba Kompany Demechellis

Fernandinho

Aguero

How much did the side that started cost out of interest?

Work it out if you're interested and post the sum.

Difficult to work out as Yaya donated his weeks wages to a charity as he didn't really want to be there..a birthday cake hangover maybe

Sorry chaps. I was Boonies Bound at 5:30 this morning. Finally got a slow internet connection.

Well done Arsenal. Feel sorry for my brother travelling all the way down there to see that shower. It really hacked me off to see the "best players" sat up there with their suits on. How are they supposed to get match fit if they don't put their boots on?

Ah well....get stuffed by the Arse. What we gonna do? Spunk 30+m on a new centre half....#Cityarentwe smile.png

Sorry Mr BJ, couldn't resist itwink.png

Mangala deal has gone through. Sky reporting that the fee is undisclosed.

Surely they have to disclose it for FFP...?

Ok...so I wasn't specific enough.....38m Euros do ya? Screw Sky 5555

Manchester City paid £24.4m to Porto for Mangala, £14.2m to a 3rd party owner + £4.3m to Standard Liege. A total of £42.9m.

Even I can't believe that breakdown biggrin.png

I'm reading 32M quid, where are they quoting 43M quid?

Not heard of Sky?biggrin.png

Aw, you could have been nice and copied and pasted the 43m quid report. BBC and Guardian say 32m quid. Just looked at sky sports and they say "undisclosed". So where exactly isrit reporting 43m quid?

See they're reporting Nastisic (excuse the spelling if incorrect) being sold for 16m quid. Reckon they should be flogging Boyota instead...he ain't gonna make a top player if he continues as he is.

Mangala:

Never mind the pennies. Similar wonga to Ozil and Sanchez. Difference, if any, for sheik Mansour is peanuts.

The only 'value' I see in Boyata is that he qualifies as home grown.

Nastasic is a fantastic talent. I think that somebody at City does not believe he can stand up to the rigours of the Premier League. Same as Rodwell, he got an injury and has just not been able to get properly fit again. I think the same applies to Guidetti.

I dont believe Boyata has the ability to be top drawer, personally I think Karim Rekic should be given the chance over and above Boyata.

Similar transfer fee value isn't it.

Didn't think Sanchez was anything like that was he?

Agreed about Boyata and Nastasic. I'd hate to see Nastasic go.

Here's hoping the Johnny Come Lately's get plenty of practice time to fit in and we start off with a victory against Newcastle. We've a tough early season schedule and can't afford to be dropping points against the likes of Newcastle.

32m (although we only have to give them 17m and Verminator).
